The Story Behind the Vision

My name is Reinier González — though many know me as Rey.

I was born in Santa Clara, Cuba, and from a very young age, I felt connected to hair and beauty. At just eight or nine years old, I would style neighbors’ hair, experimenting with different looks and discovering what would later become my life’s purpose.

At 14, I moved to the United States. While adjusting to a new country and working various jobs, the dream of becoming a professional hairstylist never left me. In 2018, I decided to fully commit to that dream and enrolled in cosmetology school.

After graduating, I worked in professional salons across South Florida, refining my craft and building meaningful relationships with clients. Over time, I realized I wanted to offer something more intentional — not just beautiful hair, but a better experience.

In 2023, RG Hair by Rey was born as a private luxury studio built around that vision.
